Cancelling your Appointment

Please telephone as soon as possible if you have to cancel your appointment.

Appointments are often in short supply so please ring and let us know if you cannot attend so that we can offer the appointment to somebody else.

If the surgery is closed and you need to cancel an appointment for the following day please use the link at the bottom of the homepage

Missed Appointments

In August 224 appointments were missed by patients who failed to turn up and did not cancel their appointment in advance.

Community Midwives

Nicky Dusterhoff is our Community Midwife.

She can be contacted at the surgery every Monday morning and Thursday afternoon (midwife ante-natal clinics). Or she can be contacted through the Midwives office 01386 502323.

When you come home from hospital Nicky or one of her team will visit you at home the next day, further visits will be arranged with you and approximate times will be given. Your GP also calls within 1 to 3 days.

Community Nurses

Our district nurses are:
Sister Marie Fletcher, Community Staff Nurse Liz Lewis, Community Staff Nurse Sara Long, Community Staff Nurse Carol Bennett and Healthcare Assistant Lisa Hancox.

They can be contacted directly Monday to Friday (8.30am to 4.30pm) on 01386 444404.

If you need a District Nurse when the surgery is closed you will need to call the Worcestershire Out of Hours Service on 0300 1233211.

You may be referred to a District Nurse by anyone but, usually by your doctor, hospital or another healthcare professional.

Health Visitors

Rashelle Bans and Theresa Owens.

They can be contacted directly between Monday to Friday 8.30am and 4.30pm on 01386 49308.

Health Visitors are qualified Specialist Health Practitioners working in an advisory role to families to promote good health practice and prevent ill health.

Their specific role is supporting parents in the care of their pre-school child. The role includes seeing families at home or in the surgery to discuss aspects of child and parental/ carer health including: feeding, sleeping, adult well-being, family health and growth and development.

Attached Staff

Carol Gattis is our social worker for the elderly.

She can be contacted Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm on 01386 444403.

Carol is based at the Riverside Surgery and works closely with members of the primary health care team in providing a service to older people and younger people with physical disabilities, who are registered with this practice.
