Whooping cough cases increase

Our practice employs a Practice Manager who, along with his deputy, are responsible for the overall administration within the practice. Any queries of an administrative nature should be adressed to them in the first instance.

Reception

Our reception and secretarial team aim to be consistently helpful, courteous and highly trained. The practice also employs two Personal Assistants who can be contacted if patients need telephone advice or to liaise with the patient's doctor. They can be contacted by telephoning the surgery on Evesham (01386) 444400.

Community Midwives

Our community Midwife can be contacted at the surgery every Monday morning and Thursday afternoon (Midwife antenatal clinics). Or she can be contacted through the Midwife office on Evesham (01386) 502323.

When a new mother returns home from hospital Nicky or one of her team will arrange a visit at home the next day. Further visits will then be arranged and approximate times will be given. The GP also calls within 1 to 3 days. More information about antenatal care can be found by using the antenatal link under Clinics & Services from the left hand menu.

If a patient requires a District Nurse when the surgery is closed please telephone the Out of Hours Service Harmoni on (0300) 1233211.

Patients may be referred to a District Nurse by anyone but usually by a doctor, hospital or other healthcare professional.

Health Visitors

Our health visitor can be contacted directly Monday to Friday from 8.30am until 4.30pm on Evesham (01386) 49308.

Health Visitors are qualified Specialist Health Practitioners working in an advisory role to families to promote good health practice and prevent ill health. Their specific role is supporting parents in the care of their pre-school child. The role includes seeing families at home or in the surgery to discuss aspects of child and parental/carer health including: feeding, sleeping, adult well-being, family health, growth and development.

Julie is based within the surgery and works closely with members of the primary health care team in providing a service to both older people and younger people with physical disabilities, who are registered with the practice.
