Doctors Surgeries

Routine clinics are held Monday to Friday from 8.30am until 11.00am and 3.00pm until 5.30pm, with extended hours on Wednesdays from 6.00pm until 8.00pm and Saturday mornings from 9.00am until 11.00am.

Our surgery operates a personalised system of care which means we try to ensure that patients see their own doctor by appointment.

We offer a range of appointments to accommodate different types of patient's requests as follows:

• Approximately 50% of our doctor's appointments may be booked up to one month in advance.
• 25% of appointments may be booked in the week a patient would like an appointment.
• The last 25% of our appointments are reserved for the day and are for urgent problems that cannot wait until the next routine or weekly appointment.

The decision of the urgency of the appointment is left to the patient. However, abuse of same day appointments when the presenting problem is less urgent does occur and we would ask patients to kindly respect the system in place. 

Genuine emergencies will, of course, be seen at any time the surgery is open.

Nurse Consultations

These are held Monday to Friday from 8.30am until 12.30pm and from 2.00pm until 5.30pm.

All aspects of health may be discussed. Appointments are usually 15 minutes in duration and are by appointment only. Occasionally an appointment may be available on the day and can be booked by telephoning the surgery at 8.30am.

Appointments

Appointments are often in short supply so we request that patients telephone the surgery to cancel an appointment on Evesham ( 01386) 444400 as early as possible if they are unable to attend. We are then able to offer that appointment to somebody else.

Home Visits

Except in emergencies, all home visit requests should be made by 10.30am.

Please remember that it takes up to FOUR times as long to see a patient in their own home as it does by appointment at the surgery. 

Our doctors carry out their home visits after they have finished morning surgery and have dealt with all their calls from patients.

As the practice covers many of the outlying villages, visits requested after initial allocation by the doctor can create considerable logistical problems.

Emergency visits will, of course, always be dealt with promptly.
