Family Planning Clinic & Womens' Health docsteth1

Our Family Planning Clinics are held on Wednesday evening from 6.00pm until 8.30pm with one of the Practice Nurses and Dr Serenyi or Dr Nederlof in attendance.

The clinics are made by appointment only.

 

The GPs

Our GPs run the following clinics:

  • Minor surgery.
  • Family Planning.
  • Joint Injections.
  • Spirometry. 


The Practice Nurses

Doctors may invite you to see a nurse for specific treatment. 

The nurses are supported by two trained Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) who are able to take blood samples, carry out ECGs and blood pressure recordings. They also provide smoking cessation advice.

The nursing team are available for: diabetes

  • Blood pressure checks.
  • Dressings. 
  • Vaccinations.
  • ECGs.
  • Treatment for leg ulcers.
  • Blood tests.
  • Cervical cytology.
  • Immunisations and vaccinations.
  • Smoking cessation and weight loss.
  • Warfarin monitoring.

They also hold the following clinics:

  • Diabetic.
  • Asthma.
  • CVS.
  • Well Man and Woman.
  • Baby and child immunisations. 


The Dispensary

 Our team of four fully qualified dispensers, supervised by a registered Pharmacy Technician and fully supported by all of our GPs, are able at all times to offer patients assistance, advice and to answer any queries regarding their medication. They can also provide FREE weekly monitored dosage systems to aid patients by reducing confusion over the timing of tablet taking. If needed, they can also complete a drug review to clarify any issues or questions patients may have about their prescribed medications. Also a FREE twice weekly medication delivery service is provided on Wednesday and Friday mornings.
